Prakash Hospital proudly served as the Hospital Partner for the Indian Pickleball League (IPBL), India’s first and only national franchise-based Pickleball league. Launched by The Times Group and sanctioned by the Indian Pickleball Association (IPA), the IPBL marks a significant milestone in bringing one of the world’s fastest-growing sports into the national spotlight.

The league aims to establish a professional and inclusive sporting ecosystem, bringing together top Pickleball talent from across the country. The initiative builds on the IPA’s continuous efforts to strengthen grassroots participation and promote fitness, performance and wider engagement across communities.

Teams from across India competed in the high-energy tournament held from December 1 to 7, 2025, showcasing the sport’s rapid growth, rising competitiveness and increasing appeal among Indian athletes.

Contribution of Prakash Hospital as Hospital Partner

The hospital’s presence went far beyond routine assistance. It created a fully functional, multi-layered medical ecosystem at the venue designed to anticipate, prevent and manage any health-related situation, from fatigue and minor injuries to potential emergencies.

The hospital deployed a fully equipped ambulance available on-site at all times, guaranteeing immediate response in case of emergencies or injuries. Throughout the tournament, Prakash Hospital ensured round-the-clock medical preparedness and athlete care.

1. Strong Emergency Preparedness and Ambulance Support

To ensure absolute readiness, Prakash Hospital deployed five ambulances, strategically positioned for rapid access across the venue:

  • 1 Fully Equipped Cardiac Ambulance- designed for advanced cardiac emergencies with critical-care facilities.
  • 4 BLS (Basic Life Support) Ambulances- ensuring rapid transportation, oxygenation, and stabilization if necessary.

This arrangement allowed for instant mobilisation, making the venue one of the safest and best-prepared sporting environments of the season. With ambulances available at all times, players and organisers had peace of mind knowing the nearest medical support was never more than a few seconds away.

2. Multi-Specialty Medical Team Stationed at the Venue

A diverse team of medical experts from Prakash Hospital was deployed throughout the event, including:

  • Physiotherapist
  • Orthopedic specialists
  • Casualty doctors
  • First-aid workers

This allowed athletes to receive expert-level assessment, treatment and follow-up without ever having to leave the venue. If players experienced muscle strain, joint stiffness, cramps, or sudden discomfort, the hospital's team was ready with precise and customized care.

3. Immediate Response and On-the-Spot Intervention

Prakash Hospital followed a zero-delay protocol on all medical calls. Whenever a player signaled discomfort, the medical team answered right on cue, ensuring:

  • Immediate injury assessment
  • Quick stabilisation
  • Instant relief measures

This swift action helped the players to feel confident and supported, reduced downtime and did not allow minor issues to snowball into serious injuries.

4. Full First Aid and Emergency Medicine Support

The tournament medical station was well-stocked with the following:

  • First-aid essentials
  • Pain-relieving medicines
  • Emergency medicines
  • Sprays and gels for rapid pain relief

This ensured continuous care, especially for back-to-back matches where athletes needed quick and efficient interventions.

5. Player Recovery, Stretching and Musculoskeletal Care

One of the high points of Prakash Hospital's contribution was its dedicated recovery and physiotherapy assistance. Athletes benefited from:

  • Stretching exercises
  • Pre-match exercises to activate the muscles
  • Cool-down techniques post-match
  • Stiffness and cramps treated with manual physiotherapy
  • Different therapeutic massages according to the players' needs

Advanced recovery tools employed in the process, like the Theragun, have played a vital role in relieving muscle tightness, reducing soreness and thereby preparing them for demanding match schedules.

Players personally appreciated this support, with one sharing, “Thank you Prakash Hospital for helping me use the Theragun and relieving my muscles.”

  • Tournament organizers
  • Team coaches
  • On-ground volunteers
  • Referees and technical staff

This ensured transparent updates, rapid movement during injuries and a well-organised flow of medical response across all seven days.

The atmosphere was filled with sportsmanship, teamwork and the spirit of a growing athletic community. Prakash Hospital extends its heartfelt gratitude to the organisers, players, support staff and volunteers for their cooperation and trust throughout the tournament.
